I work with language as a form of identity — through music, writing, and education.

Projects

My projects exist as long-form works — musical, literary, and interdisciplinary. They are not single releases, but cohesive spaces that unfold over time.

Each project is a journey. Each part marks a stage of that journey. Within each part, chapters emerge.

Musical–poetic cycle

Myth of the King

A musical-poetic cycle structured as a book in four parts. The project explores an encounter with an inner force that transforms a person from within.

Not about power or a throne — but about the inner king: dignity, choice, and responsibility.

PART I

On the Edge of a Chance

Released · 2025

About the struggle for life and a chance that appears in the darkness.

PART II

King of Scotland

Single · Released · 2026

A musical-poetic part about an encounter born from memory and journey. About the king as an inner reference — not a symbol of power, but a moment of choice, dignity, and silence.

PART III

I Seek You

In progress · 2026

PART IV

You Are in My Life

In progress · 2026

Novel · Screenplay · Musical cycle

The Year We Began to Live

In progress

A narrative project about inner awakening and the choice between a familiar life and authentic movement.

At the center of the story are a hermit, a daughter, and a young man from a big city. Their paths intersect at a moment when the past no longer offers shelter, and the future has yet to take shape.

The project unfolds as a unified narrative, where prose, screenwriting structure, and songs exist as different ways of listening to the same story.

Music collection

Pulse at the Edge

In development

A project rooted in the aesthetics of Russian rock, exploring intensity, limits, and inner resistance — when silence is no longer possible, and movement becomes inevitable.

These songs speak of tension, of the boundary between fear and action, and the moment when pulse aligns with truth.

Texts

ON THE EDGE OF A CHANCE — lyric fragment

I go to the light
Through darkness of the night.
I do the best to fight
Without any chance.

Author's note

This is not a song about escape or rescue. It is about a conscious movement forward.

The path does not deny darkness — it passes through it, accepting it as part of the way.

There is no promise of victory here, only an honest effort. What matters is not the result, but the act of continuing — when hope is not guaranteed, and choosing to move becomes a value in itself.

“On the Edge of a Chance”

2025

A song about moving towards the light when almost no chances remain. About a state where a person keeps walking — not out of certainty in victory, but because stopping has already become impossible.

Cover art: King of Scotland
Part II of the “Myth of the King” cycle

“King of Scotland”

2026

A musical-poetic part about an encounter born from memory and journey.

Not about a real king or a country — but about an inner figure of strength that appears at a moment of choice.

This song speaks of dignity and responsibility, of the silence in which a person hears themselves, and of a step taken without guarantees, but with inner clarity and consent.

About

Portrait of Lana Rubtsova

I work with language as a living space.

I am a songwriter and writer working at the intersection of poetry, music, and narrative form. At the core of my work are bilingual texts in Russian and English, where language is not a structure but part of meaning, breath, and inner movement.

My work explores themes of journey and choice, moments of transition, and attentive presence to life and its fragile value. It is contemplative music and writing where silence, pauses, and inner rhythm are as important as sound and words themselves.

My relationship with language and space did not form instantly. Almost nine years ago, I traveled to the United Kingdom, and Scotland in particular left a deep impression on me — its landscapes, silence, sense of time, and presence. That experience became the starting point of a long inner journey, which is now taking shape as a novel and a screenplay I am developing.

All texts are written by me. In music production, I use digital voice as an artistic instrument — not to imitate, but to convey atmosphere and imagery with precision.

I am currently studying screenwriting, exploring how structure, pauses, and inner movement of a story can exist beyond the screen — within music, text, and the sound of language itself.

My projects exist between languages, between cultures, between what is spoken and what remains unspoken.
